Savanna Rental Price List For 2008

Narrowboat Savanna is available for rental starting on either a Friday or a Monday. Included in the prices below are your fuel costs, gas for heating and cooking, up to 2 (well behaved) pets, car parking for up to 2 cars, bed linen, colour TV, CD / DVD player and a hairdryer.  Also included is cancellation insurance and VAT.  You will also receive a full briefing and demonstration prior to your departure.

The prices given are based on up to 6 adults sharing, so if additional adults (over the age of 16) form part of your holiday group, then an Additional Persons Charge of £25 per person per week or part week applies.

To calculate the cost of your group’s boating holiday, simply work out which price band that the week (or weeks) you want to take falls into and see the cost.  In the cases where a week covers two price bands, then the price band with the greater number of that week’s days in it is taken.

For each holiday of one week or more there is a £40 per week discount (not applicable in Price Band G) and so this amount can be deducted from the total you have arrived at.

For bookings of two weeks (or more) we offer a further discount of 15% off the cost of your second (or subsequent) week.  If two weeks is too long you may want to consider a 10 or 11 night break, in which case you take the first week’s charge in full and then add on 50% of the second week’s charge.

Finally, you may need to add on the Additional Persons Charge.  This is £25 per week (or part week) if there are 7 adults in the group or £50 per week (or part week) if there are eight.  Additional persons aged 15 years or under are free.

Short Break Prices

You can enjoy a three of four night short break on Narrowboat Savanna, either as a relaxing break during the year, or as a way of trying out a canal boat holiday.  Three night boating breaks are available starting on Fridays, with four night boating breaks starting on Mondays.  In both cases Savanna will be ready for you at 2.30pm and must be back at the Boat House by 9.30am on the day of return.

For short break holidays, simply take the cost as shown in the above table and then, if applicable, add the Additional Persons Charge as described above.

Security Deposits

With the balance of your hire payment, you will be required to pay either a Security Deposit of £150 against any loss from or damage to the canal boat during your holiday or alternatively, you can choose to pay a non-refundable Security Deposit Waiver of £45.  In addition to the foregoing Security Deposit any all male, all female or young crews will be required to pay a further Security Deposit of £25 per head on arrival.
